I stepped out of college and
into my own business at the age of 22. With no investors and very little money, the primary thing I had going for me was my desire to become the best commercial designer and illustrator in America.
Sadly, that didn’t happen.
Happily, something far more rewarding did — I adapted to the marketplace (code for, “I needed to make a better living”) and became an “ad man,” I started my own advertising agency. Over the ensuing 25 years, I grew that two man shop into a 15 person company with annual billings in excess of $10 million dollars and a host of Fortune 500 clients like Polaroid, The Ritz Carlton Hotels, Hilton and many others.
In 1994, I sold that business, took a year off to learn how to play golf and then decided, quite by accident, to become a ghostwriter.
It was an honor and pleasure to learn from Robert. I love his style. Robert's years of experience, integrity and character compliment the practical advice he gives perfectly.
Robert’s insight and simple explanations gave me a better understanding of the business side of writing as well. If you want to get started in ghost writing or need advice on writing, thinking and great ideas, Robert is your man.
I’ve been providing full ghostwriting services (writing, editing, research, collaboration and help with publishing your book) for more than 25 years. I provide these services as a memoir ghostwriter or a business book ghostwriter. My first book was not a ghostwriting project, it was a humorous story about my experiences on the links. That became a Los Angeles Times bestseller "The Golf Gods Are Laughing" and was one of the “accidents” that brought me to ghostwriting. Since then, I’ve been nominated for a Pulitzer Prize for fiction in 2012 and I’ve ghostwritten more than 40 books; some of them novels, many of them memoirs and business books. You can see some of them on the library page of this site.
That’s the short version. When you call me, I’d be glad to discuss any questions you have about my experience, education and/or your thoughts about writing, publishing and the incredible world of books.
