This is where
We only write as well as we think.
We only think as well as we listen.
We only listen as well as our empathy, experience and training takes us.
I am a memoir ghostwriter and business book ghostwriter. That is quite different from any other kind of writer. A ghostwriter must work with and for you. I must fully understand your goals, your desires and your story and then know what to do with them, know how to turn those ideas that are trapped inside your heart and head into prose that someone else is willing to buy and read and enjoy.
That means setting aside my own voice and capturing yours. It means helping you interpret your story in a way that makes sense both emotionally and commercially (the two are quite different).
My goals as a ghostwriter are to be an interpreter, a guide, a collaborator and ultimately your complete advocate. I can only achieve this by listening to you intently, absorbing your story and then turning your thoughts into a compelling, well-written book.
How do we start?
If you want to hire a ghostwriter like me, it’s simple. We talk... That usually begins with a phone call. If we are a good fit and we “connect” we set up a meeting. In today’s world circa 2021, this can be a Zoom, FaceTime or Skype meeting. It’s important to like the people you’re working with as well as understanding their story and knowing how to capture it on the page. I travel all over the U.S. and Canada meeting and writing for people in this manner and have been doing so for more than two decades. Note: In some instance with proper precautions, in person meetings can work as well.
My day or two with you is complimentary, but you pay for the hotel and airfare. If that initial meeting goes well for both of us, we enter into an agreement and I begin interviewing and writing for you immediately.

Robert is more than a ghostwriter, he is a source of insight and inspiration a real project coach. He has been able to draw out the best of my abilities and clarify and amplify my voice. I knew that Robert was a good writing partner, but I was delighted to discover his ability to manage complex projects and our monumental workload in a timely and enthusiastic manner. I whole-heartedly recommend Robert Woodcox to anyone who is trying to raise the bar on the quality of his or her communications. A good writer and a good man are hard to find...Robert is both.
